About Villa Desa Roro Estate

Villa Desa Roro Estate is made up of two villas, Villa Desa Roro Dua and Villa Desa Roro, connected via the parking area so guests move freely between them while each keeps its own living areas, kitchen and large pool — one with a shallow area for young children. Between them, the Estate has seven air-conditioned bedrooms in total. Ideal for large families and friends traveling together for a private event or a holiday, the Estate is built from traditional Joglos in timber and luxuriously furnished for comfort and style. The décor is Indonesian and Southeast Asian, collected from various countries and featured throughout the open-concept living spaces. A new garden event space can host celebrations of up to 100 guests, arranged on request and subject to approval. With two pools, verdant gardens and comfortable communal spaces, Villa Desa Roro Estate in Canggu near Berawa Beach is the perfect spot for a getaway — private enough to split, together enough to celebrate.

Outdoor and Pool area

The magical gardens at Villa Desa Roro Estate feature two large swimming pools bordered by a lavish wooden deck, sun chairs, large umbrellas and cushioned stools. The pool at Villa Desa Roro Dua has a shallow area, perfect for little ones to splash safely. The villa also has a traditional bale, fitted with a daybed for napping or an in-villa massage. Between the two villas, wide lawns are ideal for outdoor fun, and a new event space hosts celebrations of up to 100 guests, arranged on request and subject to approval. The sprawling gardens are manicured, with towering coconut trees, dense bushes and tropical plants throughout.

Living Areas

The two living areas are housed under traditional Joglos, with high-vaulted ceilings and an open-plan structure that keeps the space light and airy. Each is an amalgamation of Indonesian heritage, comfortable seating and a homely ambiance, with artefacts telling of the island's culture and marble table tops adding a touch of opulence. From the living area, you get views of the tropical gardens and pool. Each villa has a dining table indoors, plus a large outdoor table for family-style meals under the trees. The kitchens at both villas are fully-equipped, rustic in style, and each living area has a dedicated work desk plus a wide range of board games, including a poker set, Scrabble, Monopoly and Jenga.

Bedrooms

Between the two villas, Villa Desa Roro Estate has seven well-furnished, spacious bedrooms. Villa Desa Roro Dua features two bedrooms with king-sized beds, handcrafted wooden furniture, oriental rugs and beautiful artwork. One has a TV, and a baby cot can be set up on request. Villa Desa Roro has five bedrooms across three individual pavilions opening onto the gardens. The master occupies its own pavilion with a high ceiling, a canopied king-sized bed, a lounge area with a large Smart TV, a writing desk and its own massage bed. The other four bedrooms sit two to a pavilion, sharing first a private terrace, then a common living area with comfortable sofas. All bedrooms are air-conditioned, each with an en-suite bathroom featuring a bathtub or tropical shower.

Staff & Services

Since you are on holiday, the kind and attentive staff take care of everything, from cleaning to arranging plans on your behalf. The large team is especially good with children, and their home-cooked meals are a guest favourite, from breakfasts to candlelit dinners and BBQ feasts, prepared and served on request. Massages can be arranged in the gazebo or master suite. Meals, BBQs and spa treatments are organized on request at an additional cost.

Around the Villa

Villa Desa Roro Estate sits within walking distance of a collection of cool shops, cafes like Bungalow Living, Milk & Madu and Milu by Nook, and several well-regarded yoga studios. Berawa beach is just minutes away, where Finn's Beach Club is the spot for sunset drinks. If you wish, Seminyak is a 10-minute drive (depending on traffic), home to a host of restaurants, high-end shops, and popular beach clubs.
